The Kindle 2 was the Kindle that everyone was waiting for. It not only had a sleeker and more functional layout, it could now hold up to 1,500 books – more than most people could read!
The new design provides a much better reading experience because it’s easier to hold because it’s thinner and it weighs no more than a regular paperback novel.
The size is also a lot smaller which means it’s much more portable and can fit in most bags very easily.
The Kindle 2 also improved on the screen resolution with 16 shades of grey (compared to just 4 for the Kindle 1). While this didn’t really affect text that much, it did a lot for images (so if you are reading the newspaper it gave a much improved experience).
It seems the only way from here is to go to colour (will that be in the Kindle 3?)
